this little number is in the mail, and on it’s way. in the midst of ordering textbooks from amazon, i figured i should order something i was actually interested in. it teaches frequencies, and comes with MP3 files of thoseĀ frequencies. the point of that is to quickly identify feedback frequencies, ringing in tom’s etc. yes i realize how geeky that sounds.
cheers

“Critical listening” is an important skill, whether it is “audio professionals,” ministers, or anyone. We all need to learn the skill, but we don’t often take the time. But yes, what you wrote does sound “geeky.”
Love, Dad
I don’t think it’s geeky. Its nice to see you perfecting your passion. I always picked up a book “just for fun” when buying my textbooks. I figured if I could spend $400+ on books I “had to have” I could spend $20 on one I wanted.
that’s awesome man! keep honing those skillz so that you’ll be the maddest, craziest sound man in the world when you come on staff with us.
@dad-i can’t believe you called me a geek. no more free consultations for you. ok thats a lie.
@nicole-this is the first time i’ve done that, and it makes spending $400+ a little easier to bear!
@cadillaczak-done.
